Madrid has everything one could ask for. The only thing missing is the sea. But don’t worry! During the hottest days in the city, you have plenty of possibilities to refresh! Pools are cooler than ever in Madrid and here are our top 3 ideas (with some info too):
Centro Deportivo de Casa de Campo (Outdoor Pool)
A sports centre located in Casa de Campo where, after a thorough refurbishment completed in August 2021, you can find two heated pools, one of them for beginners, two multi-purpose rooms and three summer pools: children’s and 33 and 50-metre pools, respectively. In the two renovated summer pools, a new service gallery has been created and work has been carried out on the whole of the outside area of the pools.

Just like all the other pools that are run by the Ayuntamiento de Madrid, you can buy your tickets through the Sports Web Portal (here!) or directly at the tickets office (which is open every day from 9.30 to 14h and from 16.30 to 20.30h).
Prices:
Under 5 years old: free of charge
Children (from 5 to 14 years old): 1,35 euros.
Young people (from 15 to 26 years old): 1,80 euros.
Adult (from 27 to 64 years old): 2.25 euros.
Senior (from 65 years of age): 0.70 euros.
Sports Centre Aluche
In the Aluche Municipal Sports Centre you will find a space dedicated to sports practice located next to the Aluche metro station in Madrid. It is a complex where you can practice athletics, basketball, football, paddle tennis, swimming, volleyball, etc. It also has outdoor swimming pools for the summer.

Canal de Isabel II Pool
This summer 2022 we will be able to enjoy the swimming pools of the Canal de Isabel II Sports Facility, from 11 June. Its summer pool has two pools, one for recreational use with dimensions of 47×23 metres, with a sheet of water of more than one thousand square metres and another one for children, measuring 7.5 x 6 metres, with a surface area of 25 square metres.
These two pools are complemented by beach areas, solarium, cafeteria to relax with a cold beer, changing rooms, showers and toilets. The beach has a maximum capacity of 1043 users, while in the pools, the capacity is 569 users, although, because of Covid-19, only 60% will be available.
The complex is divided into two independent areas. The main one, with access from Avenida Filipinas, has swimming pools, gymnasiums, an indoor pavilion, tennis, paddle, basketball and fronton courts, while the other, located on Calle Pablo Iglesias, has an 11-a-side and 7-a-side football pitch, as well as an indoor football pitch, all of them with artificial turf.

You can get there by bus lines 3, 12, 45, 149 and 202; and by Metro, at Canal (L7-L2) and Ríos Rosas (L1) stations.
