We all know that working inside an office might not always be the most inspiring work environment, which is why I prefer taking my laptop with me and find inspiration elsewhere. Luckily Madrid is full of great cafes that allow you to escape the office vibe for a little while! This said, I have listed some of my favorite internet cafes in Madrid to make your work life a little more joyful!
#1. La Bicicleta Cycling Café & Workplace
The lively streets of Malasaña neighborhood are filled with hidden gems like Bicicleta Café. This place has a great vibe, vintage furniture, friendly staff and bicycles hanging from the ceiling. Sit down in one of the separate ‘’workplaces’’ with free WIFI and power sockets or bring your laptop to the basement where you have plenty of space to concentrate and work. Done with work?! Just relax in one of the many couches or bar stools with a good cup of coffee (or something stronger)!
Address: Plaza San Idelfonso, 9, 28004 Madrid – http://www.labicicletacafe.com/
#2. Hanso Café
This small coffee shop is owned by a family of Chinese immigrants, who managed to blend the best of both Spanish and Chinese culture. Get yourself one of many specialty coffees while sitting down at the big table, assigned as workplace. Not only do they serve great coffee, the rest of the menu is also worth checking out! Make sure to arrive outside lunch hours in order to find yourself a spot to sit down, because this place is very popular among other office escapers!

#3. Federal Café
Although Federal Café is mostly known for their amazing brunches inspired by the Down Under culture, it’s also a great spot to get some work done. With its’ origin in Barcelona, the concept is cloned to two Madrid locations. The bright atmosphere, big windows and biological kitchen with lots of variety make this café one of my favorites. Unfortunately, laptops are not allowed on Fridays and during the weekend: a good excuse to treat yourself on a laptop-free breakfast or brunch for a change!

Location 1: Plaza de las Comendadoras, 9, 28015 Madrid

#4. La Collectiva Café & Workplace
For all of you vegans out there, you will love this one! La Collectiva is just north of Malasaña and Chueca neighborhood, which are both booming with upcoming coffee and dining spots. As a Scandinavian interior lover, you will feel just right sitting down in one of the comfy couches and snacking off the completely vegan menu, with fast and friendly service! They offer free WIFI and have a cool basement with more space for busy workers like you and me!
Address: Calle Francisco de Rojas, 9, 28010 Madrid – http://www.lacolectivacafe.com/
So, now that you know my favorite internet cafes there are really no excuses left: grab your laptop and start working! Good luck!
