Summer in Madrid means that the days are getting longer and warmer, and the sunsets are getting more dramatic. If you have not had the chance to see one, it is a must! If you don’t know where to catch the best sunset, read this article and figure out the 3 best possible spots to see a sunset for yourself.

Temple of Debod

Temple of Debod is an amazing place to visit to see one of Madrid’s famous landmarks and to catch an insane sunset. If you have some time, head over to the Temple of Debod about an hour before the sunset to first enjoy the landmark.

Explore the Egyptian ruins that were gifted to Spain from Egypt in the 20th century. You can then head over to the fabulous city lookout located right behind the Temple of Debod and see Madrid from above.

Then, as sunset draws near, you can find a spot in Parque del Oeste and watch the sunset over the Madrid cityscape. Oftentimes, there are people playing music here so you can also enjoy some beautiful music while you watch the sunset. This experience is truly incredible and a must-see in Madrid if you have not seen it already!
